A Yugoslav army issue Type II AKM bayonet in scabbard. Hilt with black plastic grip scales (serial numbered to the LH grip) has heavy a cast pommel with release catch to the rear left and cross guard with barrel loop to the front. Bowie style blade with saw back and central cut socket to fit to the scabbard to form a wire cutter. In its black plastic scabbard with leather frog / hanger to the top and wire cutter blade and boss to the chape. Designed to replace the stop gap 1st model AK bayonet, the gun having been initially designed without provision for the fitting of a bayonet, the Type II was a much better designed weapon suited to use on the rifle and as a fighting knife with a built in wire cutter and insulated plastic scabbard to allow the cutting of electrified wire. In very good condition with matching numbers scabbard.
