Swedish M1896 Mauser bayonet in scabbard with its issue leather frog, late model with conical release stud. Finely chequered hollow steel grip with release catch to the lower rear has cross guard stamped 11 / I.19 No128 & EJ AB Crown Anchor makers mark to the front with barrel ring to the top and guard to the bottom. Fullered spear point double edged blade struck with Swedish Crown to the right and EJ AB makers mark either side of a Royal Crown and anchor trade mark to the left. In its issue steel scabbard with frog stud, the rear stamped 1D/I29 No1449. Complete with its correct issue brown leather frog. A handy and practical weapon the classic Swedish M96 bayonet was as good a fighting knife as it was a bayonet and saw long service with the 6.5mm Mauser rifles issued. In good condition with nice grip and clean blade in a nice well marked scabbard.
