Czechoslovakian VZ 24 bayonet to fit the Mauser K98 service rifle manufactured by Československá zbrojovka of Brno. Grip with bolt retained wooden scales has release catch to the left rear with rivet retained cross guard. Fullered blade with cutting edge to the top side when fitted to the rifle is stamped to the left side CSZ H. In its steel scabbard with frog stud to the rear side. Manufactured to the standard Czech design to fit the German K98 service rifle these bayonets were made during the German occupation during WW2 and then well into the 50’s for export sales all over the world. In good condition with nice clean blade, good grip scales and a nice scabbard with much original black paint.
