A good post war communist era Czech VZ24 bayonet to fit the VZ24 service rifle. Grip with bolt retained wooden scales has release catch to the right side and is stamped to the pommel tgf for manufacture at the famous Zbrojovka Brno or CZ plant. Fullered blade of typical Czechoslovak design with the cutting edge to the top when mounted onto the rifle. In its correct blued steel scabbard with tgf factory marking next to inspection stamps and the CZ lion factory trade mark. Made by the Czechs until 1950 when they stopped production of VZ24 Mauser pattern rifles in favour of more modern semi auto weapons such as the Russian designed SKS then the AK47 and AKM the VZ24 bayonets was a initially manufactured for the pre war Czech army but were also made during the German occupation during WW2 for issue to axis troops. Interestingly post war the communist government kept the WW2 German factory designation system adopting tgf for bayonets manufactured at CZ. In very good condition with good clean blade, nice grips and working catch in a good scabbard with much blue finish.
