Yugoslavian M1948 Mauser bayonet in scabbard. Mauser fitting grip with wooden scales has release catch to the rear right. Cross guard with muzzle ring to the top. Blued single edge fullered spear point blade. In its correct blued steel scabbard with frog stud to the front. Based on the German K98 bayonet the 1948 replaced the earlier long bladed 1924 bayonet after WW2 when combat had proven shorter blade bayonets were more practical and effective both when fitted to a rifle or when used as combat knives. In good condition with nice blade and grips, working catch and a good scabbard.
