A Victorian copper bodied powder flask for rifle or shot gun by Sykes of Sheffield. Large flattened bag body with brass top / nozzle, both stamped SYKES PATENT. Rotary adjustable spout. A typical English powder flask of the Victorian period made in Sheffield by one of the best makers for use with either a large bore rifle of .577” or larger or a muzzle loading shot gun. In good condition with some dents to the body and good mechanics with strong working spring a shutter. A nice flask in good fair to good condition with excellent mechanics, ideal for a shooter.
